A Visit to Anji

One day in the summer holiday， my Dad， My Mum and I went to AnJi, a small town in Zhejiang Province.

That was a fine day. We got up at 6’o clock in the morning. After simple breakfast, we started our journey to Anji. Usually it’s about 2-hour’s ride from Suzhou to Anji, but because some roads were under repair, it took us about 3 hours to get there.

Anji is famous for bamboos, you can find thousands of bamboos there, so it is also known as “the sea of bamboo” . There are many colors of the bamboos. Some are golden, some are yellow and some are purple. Of course, most of the bamboos are of green color. The bamboo forest was very dense, so the sunshine could not enter the bamboo forest. After I went inside the bamboo forest, I felt very cool. The feeling was very nice, I just wanted to stay there and I didn’t want to come out at all.  My Mum told me that there might be some snakes inside.  Hearing this, I became so afraid that I rushed out of the bamboo forest immediately.

We then went to visit some other places.

We had a good time in Anji
